Back And Forth (poetsanctuary spotlight)

Clock ticking in my ears
I slowly crawl to her
Her body spread before me
But I can't reach

My body - so heavy, so sick
My soul - so broken, so lone
Your gaze - so piercing, so cold
Your fate - so unforgiving, so old

Your screams piercing my ears
I try to get up and run
Heavy hand of fate
Pushes me down on ground

My sores - bleeding and red
My stare - dilated and red
Your hands - pushing me down
Your laugh - shrieking in my ears

Blood thumping in my ears
I am dying on this floor
You wink at me again
And fade away to black
